Wavelength
A site where the motion carries the meaning, and switches itself off the moment it would get in the way.
The Brief
Motion is the easiest thing to overdo and the hardest to justify. Here every movement answers one question: what does this tell the visitor?
Transitions map to structure — moving down a level pushes the page, moving across slides it. After ten seconds on the site nobody has to think about where they are.
All of it respects reduced-motion, drops on touch devices where it would fight the scroll, and never delays the first paint.
The landing sequence, captured mid-transition.
Left: transition timing study. Right: the reduced-motion fallback.
